The RCRA course is designed to help employees understand the federal regulations governing the generation, handling, storage and disposal of hazardous waste. Participants will gain a practical understanding of hazardous waste management requirements and the responsibilities organizations must meet to maintain environmental compliance.
This course provides an overview of hazardous waste regulations and focuses on the procedures commonly encountered in facilities that generate, accumulate or manage hazardous waste. Participants will learn how to identify hazardous waste, determine generator status, properly manage waste containers and maintain required documentation.
Designed to meet the training requirements of 40 CFR 265.16, this course also introduces participants to emergency response procedures, emergency equipment and best practices for maintaining a safe and compliant hazardous waste program.
